Meet the Team
Lucy Boland and Sam Boland both worked at the highly acclaimed Harley Street in London before relocating to Bath. They bring with them a wealth of experience in spinal conditions including acute and chronic neck and back pain, disc injuries (slipped discs) and sciatica.
As well as Clinic Director, Sam is trained in Musculoskeletal (MSK) diagnostic ultrasound. MSK diagnostic ultrasound is a safe, fast, and highly effective way to see what’s really happening inside muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints. As the only osteopathic clinic in Bath offering in-house MSK diagnostic ultrasound, we can assess injuries in real time, accurately identify the cause of pain, and guide targeted treatment, all without radiation or long waiting times. This means clearer answers, more precise care, and a faster, more confident return to movement.
Our team has over a decade of experience treating acute and chronic conditions, from spinal injuries, tendon problems to sports-related performance issues. We combine clinical precision with a compassionate, patient-first approach.
Our specialists, including Susie Gill, have worked with top-tier athletes at national and international levels, bringing that expertise to every patient, professional or weekend warrior. Susie was selected this year to treat the Bristish Lions and Irish Rugby Team in Australia and continues to treat the men’s Welsh Rugby Team.
At OsteoBath, our osteopaths are part of an extensive network of healthcare professionals including local GPs, orthopaedic consultants, radiologists and nutritionists. As well as offering our own in house diagnostic ultrasound, we can refer for MRI imaging and x-ray.

Musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive scan that allows us to see muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, and soft tissues in real time. It is particularly helpful for identifying the cause of pain, swelling, or injury, such as tendon tears, muscle strains, ligament injuries, bursitis, or ongoing problems that are not improving as expected.
